Our story

Engineering first, not volume first

OtterMax was founded in 2023 by Steven Tsao, an engineer with nearly a decade in smart toilet R&D. He saw that most manufacturers treated EN 1717 compliance as an afterthought — adding a check valve and calling it "certified."

OtterMax does the opposite: the anti‑backflow protection is integral to the ceramic casting and internal plumbing from day one of design. This approach is used by only 2–3 factories in China.

We are small and specialised — and that is intentional. It means fast communication, direct access to the engineering team, and a genuine partnership model where your product team works with the people who actually design and build the product.
